工程与建筑环境学院采用尖端科技，培养工程与建筑环境行业顶尖人才的同时，开展具有世界影响力的 研究项目。
学院师资团队中有6个澳大利亚建筑师协会金奖得主。澳大利亚建筑师协会金奖是澳大利亚建筑师协会颁发的 最高荣誉。 ¹
纽卡斯尔大学是澳大利亚仅有的三所国际工程教育交流项目 （Global E3）的成员院校之一。
纽卡斯尔大学的土木工程专业也是唯一一个在澳大利亚 卓越研究评比中，三个评分项目全部获得最高评分“5”的 专业。 ²
工程与建筑学院也是联合国训练研究所纽卡斯尔国际培训 中心（ CIFAL Newcastle）的所在地。这是大学与联合国训练研 究所的合作项目，旨在培养相关专业学生在规避灾害风险， 抵御灾害，以及可持续发展方面的能力。
毕业生取得的工程类学位获澳大利亚工程师协会(EA)认证。 学院的化学工程专业通过了（英国）化学工程师协会的认证。 我校的建筑专业毕业生可获得澳大利亚建筑师认证委员会 (AACA)以及多个国际行业协会的认证。计算机科学及信息 技术专业受到澳大利亚计算机协会ACS的职业认证。我们的 建筑管理专业受到包括特许建造学会等一系列机构的认证。 测量学专业的毕业生可获得新南威尔士州测量与空间信息 委员会的认证。
